Our Little House on The Costa Blanca

We spend most of our 'outside' time out here, we love chatting and having a few drinks with the neighbours. 

We love relaxing out on the rear terrace, it's a great area for dining, we have added a big 'Toldos'  (awning) so that we can close it in if the weather play's up.

Tommy our eldest grandson will be moving here permanently and this is his room, his guitar is already here!

I've had the picture of the girl with the American car for over twenty years and I've told every one of our grandchildren that the girl is Sue when she was younger! I wish!!!!  Only joking, in fact it was Sue who bought me it.

We recently refurbished the house to update it, the kitchen was replaced, we changed all the doors and the fitted wardrobes which were all wood coloured to white to give a fresh feel to the house.

The whole house has been re-painted including the outside. All that's left now is to replace that horrible wooden handrail with a nice shiny chrome one, its been ordered!

I think because we had a big house back in the UK, everyone who's not been out to visit assume we have some big villa with a pool but alas, no. We have a little 3 bed townhouse which we love. We do have two beautiful communal pools and a heated indoor pool on the urbanisation.

When we first got our house, it was for holidays, then after about four years we made the move permanent. "No Chelsea stuff's going up" Said Sue hmm.. I HAD to have some up, still loads left in the UK to share amongst family next time I'm over.

I needed to bring something here to remind me of home!

Originally we put two single beds in the 'spare' bedroom for the grandchildren but with the refurb we changed this room into Sue's Dressing room. We added new wardrobes but left one single bed, just in case!

With the addition of these new wardrobes alongside the original fitted double wardrobe, Sue can keep ordering new clothes from the UK 😂

She said to leave all this up, I think she's a secret Marvels fan 😂😂

We do create mayhem in here as a family, we don't do it on purpose but sometimes there's so many of us 😂 I try not too worry what anyone else thinks when I see my kids having fun, you do get some moaners though! 

The developer made a great job of these pool area.

My favourite of the pools, this one has a little play area and an outside jacuzzi, more to do in this one and you get less moaners 😂😂

Changing the huge wardrobe doors from wood to white has really brightened each room up. Its funny because when we bought this house almost eight years ago, we had the choice of having everything white, we decided to stick with tradition - that proved costly!!

That aint me.

Marley is on the wall, music follows us through our house - life without music.... definitely not.

Why not?

Why do I look so gloomy? I'm with our lovely friend Alison (well she's family really) I have a LARGE vodka and orange, the sun is shining, I don't have to go to work, I don't need any money, for fuck sakes Ian.... get those teeth shining through and smile 😂😂😂😂
